"Every decision shapes your music. Every room shapes your decisions"
- Jon Doig | Founder, Acoustician & Producer
There are now 3 levels of off-the-shelf acoustics. We supply all 3.
This level of treatment is easy to identify because only the lowest hanging fruits are addressed. This is the general market standard and a good level for a beginner music producer.
In 2018, The Berlin based Kiss Your Ears pioneered a more modern approach to off-the-shelf studio acoustics. Contemporary music demanded better bass control, and common solutions often fell short. Level 2 delivers maximum acoustic impact for the lowest cost: full-spectrum control without breaking the bank.
This is the perfect sweet spot for a serious producer who wants to get ahead of their game. Cut your mixdown time from 12 hours to 3 hours!
After a decade of R&D across thousands of client rooms, KYE Acoustics was founded in the UK to provide the KYE Acoustics Studio Control System, which bridges the gap between Level 2 treatment and full bespoke high end acoustician design.
Expert-level monitoring. Exceptional translation and control. For producers who want to take their room as far as possible without moving into a fully bespoke build.
Every LEVEL 2 studio can finally be upgraded to LEVEL 3 in a few simple steps.
The KYE Acoustics Studio Control System
"The KYE Acoustics Studio Control System is such a big step beyond anything I'd been doing before that it justified setting up a whole new company and manufacturing facility."
- Jon Doig | Founder, Acoustician & Producer
One System. Eight Modules. Absolute Confidence in Your Studio.
The system ships within five weeks and installs in hours, with no technical expertise required. Throughout the process, you have direct access to the system’s designer.
"I am your acoustic insurance policy. You focus on the music and leave the physics to me"
- Jon Doig
Broadband porous absorption.
900 × 600 × 200 mm.
Frictional absorption down to 70 Hz.
Harmonic damping down to 35 Hz.
Tip: Use ONLY this module until you reach 1.2 units per m2 in your studio. Eg. a 20 m2 room needs minimum 24 units. That's already a Level 2 solution. Place 50% of units over corners and the other 50% over reflection points. Don't forget the ceiling to wall corners.
Classic and Premium are acoustically identical - the difference is finish.

Deep absorption with binary scatter.
900 × 600 × 300 mm.
Absorbs down to 35 Hz.
Scatters 1–6 kHz.
Tip: Add SUB only after your BASS quota is met. Perfect for the back wall deep absorption & retaining some liveliness.
Perfect for floor to wall corners around the room (perhaps the most over looked bass trap location).
Ceiling and early-reflection absorption.
900 × 600 × 100 mm.
Frictional absorption down to 150 Hz.
The 100 mm air gap extends reach by roughly an octave.
Tip: Cover the ceiling mirror zone between your speakers and your head. Typically 4–6 units & mount with the 100 mm air gap.
Especially useful behind COUPLING MODULE.

Sealed membrane wideband pressure absorption.
900 × 900 × 300 mm.
Pressure absorption tuned to 32–35 Hz.
Useful across 25–60 Hz.
Tip: Flat boundary, not corners: corners mix modal pressures and the module stops working as designed. Space at least one module apart to avoid sympathetic or edge interference. Mount rigid so the membrane moves, not the box.
Fit last. The reflective modules change the room's boundaries - tune deep bass against the finished room, not the empty one.
Smooth polycylindrical reflection spreading.
900 × 600 × 200 mm.
Begins ~570 Hz.
Strongest across 1–4 kHz.
Internally damped to remove box resonance.
Tip: Needs at least 1.5 m between the module surface and your head or the reflection arrives before it has spread. This module keeps the room alive.
Primitive-root controlled diffraction and porous absorption.
900 × 600 × 200 mm.
Controlled PRD scattering 1.2–3.4 kHz.
Absorption from 150 Hz.
Tip: Use on non-ERP locations of side walls to add further acoustic control whilst retaining liveliness.
Same distance rule as DIFFUSION: 1.5 m minimum. This is not a first-reflection-point device. Put it beside your ears and you get comb filtering instead of diffraction.
Multi-scale organic scattering.
900 × 600 × 150 mm.
Scattering across 1.2–10 kHz.
Tip: Use where you want reflection without absorption; usually the remaining rear end of side walls, or irregular side-wall space, e.g. with a door on the opposite side. Install two units parallel with one inverted to have one larger mirrored surface. Rotate 90° from opposing units if you are fighting flutter between parallel side walls.
Open lattice over absorption.
600 × 600 × 150 mm.
Starts interacting ~700 Hz–1.2 kHz.
Main scatter and coupling 1.2–4 kHz, edge scatter above.
Absorber behind eg. CLOUD MODULE does the absorption.
Tip: Example stack over a ceiling early reflection point: 150 mm COUPLING MODULE, 100 mm CLOUD MODULE, 100 mm air gap. Arrays into squares, crosses or clusters. Stops an absorbent surface becoming dead - "dead" being over-absorbed highs relative to lows.
We’ve Done This Before.
Kiss Your Ears was founded in Berlin in 2018 with a different approach to off-the-shelf studio acoustics. Thousands of client rooms later, that work became the foundation for something more ambitious.
KYE Acoustics is the next chapter: a new company, new manufacturing facility, and a new acoustic system built from everything learned along the way.
A decade of acoustic development. Thousands of client rooms.
Level 2 pioneered in 2018. Today, KYE Acoustics is the only company bringing Level 3 performance to off-the-shelf studio acoustics.
Actual Acoustic Innovation
New acoustic designs, system architecture and applications developed to expand what off-the-shelf studio acoustics can achieve.
Built to Solve Your Studio
Complete modular acoustic systems designed to solve the problems conventional treatment leaves behind. Serious performance, intelligently implemented, and built to last a lifetime.
The Designer Comes With It
Direct guidance from the system’s designer, from choosing your setup through to placement and implementation. At this level of acoustic treatment, expert guidance matters - so it’s built into the process.
Jon brings an unusually complete skill set to studio design: construction, property development, architecture & interiors, acoustic design, isolation, installation, sound engineering, music production, musicology, composition, manufacturing, philosophy and business. He has designed, built and operated studio houses, founded specialist companies, delivered thousands of client rooms and worked with many of the biggest companies and artists in the music industry.
An obsessively thorough student of his craft, Jon approaches problems from first principles, thinks in systems, and has very little tolerance for mediocrity. It’s probably no surprise that he never accepted the limits of the acoustic treatment already on the market.
KYE Acoustics is the latest expression of that uncompromising approach.
Hear everything. Trust every decision.
Because your studio should not look 20 years behind your music.
Completely modular, adapting to irregular rooms, layouts and real-world constraints.
Got a cheaper quote? Send it to us. We’ll beat it. Just make sure you’re comparing apples with apples.
Most competing packages are Level 1 treatment.
Pursue excellence. Keep refining. Never settle.
Bespoke acoustics solves one room. Then it dies there.
One client pays for a decade of knowledge. Everyone else starts from zero.
So we flipped it.
Every repeating problem worth solving gets solved once - in the system.
Engineered. Tested. Manufactured. Repeatable.
Ships in weeks. Installs in hours.
You don't hire an acoustician. You install one.
We design the systems. We show you where they go. You make music.
Better room. Lower price. No guesswork.
More systems coming!
